Teaching as an adjunct professor of architecture at North Dakota State University keeps me energized. Serving the community as a board member for non-profit housing developer, Beyond Shelter, Inc, and council member for the Fargo Moorhead CRU ministry keeps me humbled. Competing for AIA Design Awards keeps me creative. As founder and principal of RHET Architecture, I am immersed in all things architecture.

Titles are boring, but the work of organizations like the AIA is not. I was honored to serve as the President of FM Architects from 2007 through 2011 and the Regional Director of the Young Architects Forum for the North Central States from 2012 through 2016. Career highlights include being honored as the AIA ND Intern of the Year in 2008 and serving as an AIA Delegate to Washington's D.C.'s Capitol Hill.

I am passionate about architecture and eagerly participate in design competitions, regularly complete Minnesota Design Team community visits, and provide pro-bono architectural services to University of the Nations; Calabar, Nigeria; Children’s Relief Orphanage in Dondo, Mozambique; and Fargo-Moorhead Churches United for the Homeless. My favorite breakthrough project is the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center Choir Loft, which won an AIA ND Design Award.

Prior to receiving a Bachelor of Architecture degree from North Dakota State University, I studied Modern Nordic Architecture at the University of Oulu, Finland.

Hi, I’m Ben, a Project Architect with five years of experience leading detail-oriented, complex projects where cross-disciplinary coordination is key. I also serve as our firm’s IT lead, overseeing software systems, hardware infrastructure, and procurement. Outside of work, I’m proud to serve on the board of the Great Plains Children’s Museum, reflecting my passion for community and family. In my free time, I enjoy tinkering with computers and servers, flying drones, 3D printing, and exploring new tech hobbies.

Hello, my name is Dylan. While I take my work as an architect seriously, I hope to be known first as a God-fearing man, a faithful husband and father, and a trusted friend. I believe that strong, trusting relationships are the foundation on which design with vision and lasting value is built. Since graduating from the NDSU architecture program in 2017, I’ve aspired to create designs that address practical needs with both beauty and purpose. Just as we see thoughtful design embedded in creation—tailored perfectly to its environment—I believe buildings, too, can be beautifully and purposefully crafted to suit their context and intended use. “God is the Master Architect, and all created things are the blueprint of His design.” – St. Augustine

Whether it’s modeling with Lego, drawing with a pencil, or drafting in CAD, I love the process of putting a building together. My name is Mitch, and I’ve wanted to be an architect since I was five years old. This dream led me to North Dakota State University, where I fell in love with the collaborative and creative culture of the architecture program. A culture that has continued in my professional career. Since joining RHET Architecture in 2018, every day offers new and exciting opportunities to learn as a team and expand my skills as a project manager and specification writer.
